Inspection of wear in wind turbine gearboxes and main gears—caused by operational conditions or manufacturing defects—is one of the most critical maintenance activities. Gearboxes are among the most critical and difficult-to-access components in many wind turbines. Therefore, periodic inspections of gearboxes are essential to ensure reliable turbine operation. These inspections are also particularly important within the scope of End-of-Warranty (EoW) assessments. At Velocity RES, gearbox inspections are performed by our expert teams using advanced GE Mentor IQ video borescope systems, providing high-resolution imaging and precise internal diagnostics.
